CSU Issues Support if Amended Letter—with a proposed amendment to allocate $1 billion in bond funding for student housing across California’s public higher education systems.

The CSU has projects that could accommodate more than 12,000 students. Unfortunately, there is no funding currently available to build these critical student housing units. Moving forward on construction of more housing would improve student success and well-being but also eases pressure on local housing markets by freeing up off-campus units that would otherwise be occupied by students.
